Simplex Incident Manager (SIM)

Simplex Incident Manager (SIM) is an advanced fire alarm network control platform that enables centralized management, monitoring, and coordination of large-scale fire alarm systems. The software runs on the SIM server or remote devices, meeting modern requirements for safety and security.

Software Components

The software includes:

SIM Configurator: Used to configure hardware, ES Net nodes, system settings, and build monitoring “jobs.”
SIM Server: Executes the jobs created with Configurator on the main computer.
SIM Client: Allows remote job operation — available in supervised and view-only (unsupervised) modes.
File Transfer: Updates firmware for ES Net cards.
Backup Utility: Automatically backs up system data and jobs to a secondary drive.

Key Features

Full-color graphical interface, displaying and controlling up to 250,000 ES Net points.
Multi-monitor support (up to 4 screens), pan/zoom, auto-jump to alarm points.
Coverage zones, temperature display (°C/°F), ability to launch web/camera links.
Data export to XML, email alerts, customizable alarm sounds (WAV).
NTP server support, multi-loop (up to 7 ES Net loops, 689 nodes).
Event logging up to 500,000 records with operator notes.
Scheduled backups (save, print, email).
Security: user access levels, 8–16 character passwords, compatible with McAfee/Norton.

Scalability & Practical Applications

SIM can monitor up to 687 Fire Alarm Control Units and as many as 250,000 devices, making it ideal for large-scale systems such as universities, hospitals, airports, data centers, and large campuses.
This web-based platform supports access via HTML5 browsers like Chrome on mobile devices, enabling anytime, anywhere connectivity.
SIM also supports full-color maps to quickly pinpoint incident locations, ensuring precise and efficient emergency response.
