Bosch's AVIOTEC is certified by VdS for integrated fire detection technology on surveillance cameras

The integrated fire detection technology on the Bosch security system's AVIOTEC fire alarm camera has received the world's first certification from VdS Damage Prevention. AVIOTEC is recognized as an automatic visual fire tracking camera with model number G217090, which is Advanced solutions that help users detect signs of fire and explosion quickly and accurately, even in challenging environments. VdS is an independent organization for safety, corporate security and international safety standards harmonization mechanisms. VdS quality standards are always considered important criteria and is often used as a basis for EN standardization for businesses around the world to apply to their products.

VdS has developed a complex test procedure for video-integrated fire detection, based on the previously established VdS 2203 principles "Requirements for fire protection software" and "Requirements for flame testing". AVIOTEC IP starlight 8000 is the world's first fire detection camera passed these tests. Immunity against false alarms is certified, while AVIOTEC also guarantees functional safety and reliability in challenging fire alarm environments such aswood workshops, warehouses, factories, and areas with wide area,  as well as ongoing mechanical influences.

The decisive advantage of AVIOTEC's video-based fire detection technology is its rapid detection speed. Visual cameras detect fires directly at the source, even when smoke has just formed and has not yet spread to the smoke detectors.
