Bosch Security Systems has launched Access Control Professional (APE) 3.3 for small and medium-sized businesses. The new software extension significantly increases the number of readers in a network. The software integrates easily with the Milestone XProtect Video Surveillance Management System (VMS), and uses a software development kit (SDK) to integrate third-party features. It also supports Windows 10 and enhances security through the Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP).
Bosch’s APE 3.3 supports networks of up to 512 readers and 64 floors. Building managers in large facilities now do not need to upgrade their systems with complex and expensive software just to integrate more readers into an already efficient and synchronized access control system.
APE 3.3 integrates seamlessly into the Milestone XProtect VMS system. Security personnel can manage video surveillance as well as readers and access controllers using a single Milestone software interface. This eliminates the need for training, and customers save on licensing costs for additional video surveillance channels.
With the expanded SDK, developers can now integrate third-party features into the system such as cardholder information, door control, employee time management, and payroll. Once imported, user data can be controlled system-wide, across all integrated features, and can be controlled through the APE 3.3 user interface.
Finally, Open Supervisory Device Protocol (OSDP) v2 support enables enhanced encrypted communication between readers and controllers, allowing security managers to securely connect APE 3.3 to Bosch or third-party devices. Bidirectional communication allows for monitoring of readers and controllers to ensure reliable operation, and communications are fully encrypted and secure from reader, controller, to management software. This creates a secure, seamless, and advanced building management system.
Bosch APE 3.3 delivers high security, cost savings, and operational efficiency through easy third-party integration, OSDP support, and reader scalability. For more information and licensing details, see >> www.Boschsecurity.com
