The Simplex 4003EC is a Voice Control Unit (VCU) that adds voice messaging and audio signaling functions to central fire alarm systems without built-in voice capability.
It is designed for use in ECS (Emergency Communication Systems) and MNS (Mass Notification Systems).

Multiple 4003EC units can be networked to create a wide-area notification system.

Key Features

• Live paging via the built-in microphone or up to 18 remote microphones.

• 8 pre-programmed digital messages (fire alarm, intruder, bomb threat, weather, drill, all clear, etc.).

• Supports recording/importing custom messages.

• Optional pre-tone and post-tone before/after messages.

• Class D amplifier, 40W output (25VRMS or 70.7VRMS).

• Expandable with Remote Booster Amplifiers:

  • 80W: 1 audio NAC + 2 strobe NACs.

  • 160W: 2 audio NACs.

  • 320W: 4 audio NACs, dual power supplies, dual batteries.

• System total output power: up to 5000W.

• Power & backup batteries: supports charging up to 33Ah batteries, internal or external cabinet installation.
