Simplex Incident Manager Remote Clients – S4195-0029

The Remote Client connects to the Simplex Incident Manager (SIM) Server via HTTPS.

Supports up to 60 simultaneous users.

There are two types:

• Supervised Remote Client → Runs SIM Client software on Windows, with full control functionality like the server. If the connection is lost, a Trouble condition is reported.

• Unsupervised Remote Client → Runs on Chrome (any OS), view-only mode.

Operation & Connectivity

• Remote Clients connect to the Simplex Incident Manager Server via HTTPS.

• Supports up to 60 concurrent clients on the ES Net network. (The 4120 network has lower limits, typically around 20 clients.)

• Redundancy: Clients can be configured to switch over to a backup server if the primary server connection is lost — increasing system reliability.

• Minimum recommended network speed: 3 Mbps for TCP/IP connection between Server and Remote Client.

Types of Remote Clients & Functions

1. Supervised Remote Client

• Runs Simplex Incident Manager Client software on Windows.

• Can monitor and control the entire system (with authorized access).

• If disconnected, the server immediately logs and reports a fault.

2. Unsupervised Remote Client

• Requires only a modern browser such as Chrome on any operating system.

• View-only access, no control or interaction with the system.

Hardware Control & Device Requirements

• Main Hardware Model: 4195-8410 — Listed Remote Client with full control capability (when supervised and connected to the Fire Alarm LAN).

• UPS: As per UL standards, a UL-1481 listed UPS must be used to provide backup power to the Remote Client.

• Transient Suppressors:

  • Each LAN/WAN connection between Remote Client and the network must use transient suppressor 4190-6010, except when the server and client are in the same room.

Additional supported hardware and accessories include:

• Desktop computer (Model 4190-7041) with standard configuration, HDD, RAM, video, and multiple connection ports.

• Specialized Ethernet switches such as 4190-6050, 6054, 6055 for connecting clients to the fire protection network.

• LCD displays, including 42" wall-mounted or 24" desktop monitors, with optional touchscreen capability.

• Installation software: 4195-5053 – Client installation package (OS not included).

• Client classification codes: 4195-5062 (supervised), 4195-5061 (unsupervised).

• Various graphical programming options such as DXF/DWG floor plans, icons, control panels, coverage zones, emergency messaging, and more.
