Addressable Monitor Module (IAM) 4090-5258 – Simplex

The Simplex 4090-5258 is an addressable monitor module designed to connect conventional fire alarm devices (such as manual call points, conventional smoke detectors, heat detectors, or supervisory switches) to a Simplex addressable fire alarm system. It converts signals from conventional devices into addressable signals, allowing the fire alarm control panel (FACP) to identify the exact location of an alarm or trouble condition, thereby improving system monitoring and management.

Main Functions:

• Converting conventional devices into addressable devices:
  • Supports normally open (N.O.) or normally closed (N.C.) dry contacts.
  • Example: standalone smoke detector, heat detector, manual call point, or multiple devices at one location.
• Line supervision:
  • Open circuit reports a trouble condition.
  • Contact status change reports an alarm (or as configured at the FACP).
