Simplex 4098-XAD Duct Smoke Detection System

The Simplex 4098-XAD is an addressable duct smoke detector (IGF) that uses air-sampling technology combined with a TrueAlarm photoelectric smoke sensor. It is designed to detect smoke in HVAC ducts or hard-to-access areas. The unit features environmental compensation, airflow monitoring, replaceable dust filters, and remote test/maintenance capability, ensuring high reliability and convenient servicing.

Key Features

Detects smoke in air ducts (not a replacement for open-area detectors).
Airflow supervision: alerts when abnormal airflow is detected.
Aspirator fan with 10 programmable speeds, LED bar-graph display.
Replaceable air filter (recommended replacement every 12 months).
Remote testing functions: smoke test, magnet test, or via remote test station 2098-9806.
Status LED indicators (on housing or via remote).
Compatible with external relay (4098-9843) for auxiliary equipment control.
Dedicated 24VDC power supply, easy integration with fire alarm systems.
