The Fire Alarm Ethernet Switch is a purpose-built device designed specifically for Fire Alarm LAN (Local Area Network) applications, connecting the TrueSite Workstation Server with Remote Clients.

It ensures earth fault supervision on each Ethernet port.

Certified to UL 864, ULC S527, CSFM Listed, and FM Approved.

Dedicated Fire Alarm LAN

• Provides exclusive Ethernet connections between the TrueSite Workstation server and Remote Clients through Fire Alarm Ethernet Switches.

Multiple connection options

• 8 wired Ethernet ports (RJ-45) — Model 4190-6050.

• 4 wired Ethernet ports + 2 single-mode fiber ports — Model 4190-6054.

• 4 wired Ethernet ports + 2 multi-mode fiber ports — Model 4190-6055.

Collision domain segmentation

• Enables network segmentation to increase resilience and performance of the life safety network.

Earth fault detection

• Integrated ground fault detection module on RJ-45 connections.

• Fault conditions indicated via:

  • IDNet Supervised IAM module,

  • Trouble relay output,

  • Per-port fault LEDs.

Extended networking

• Supports cascading multiple switches to expand connections or extend network distance (via Ethernet or fiber cabling).

Safety compliance

• Fire alarm listed versions: UL 864, ULC S527 (Models 4190-6050, 6054, 6055).

• Non-listed versions also available for general networking applications (not for fire alarm safety).
