The Simplex TrueAlert ES 59AV is an addressable fire alarm notification appliance that combines a horn (audible) and an LED strobe (visible) in one unit. It operates directly from the IDNAC SLC (Signaling Line Circuit), receiving power, control, and supervision from the fire alarm control panel (FACP). The 59AV is designed for reduced wiring, higher efficiency, and reliable operation even on standby battery power.

• Individually Addressable: Each device has its own unique ID, monitored and controlled directly by the fire alarm panel.

• Combined Horn + LED Strobe (A/V): Provides both audible and visible notification in one compact unit, saving space and installation costs.

• Multi-Candela LED Strobe:

  • Low range: 15, 30, 75 cd

  • High range: 110, 135, 185 cd
    Flexible candela settings selectable from the panel or locally at the device.

• Efficient IDNAC Powering: Operates on regulated 29 VDC from IDNAC SLC, ensuring low current draw and long-term reliability, even on battery backup.

• T-Tap Wiring (Class B): Allows “T-Tap” connection to reduce wiring and installation cost compared to Class A.

• Self-Test & Magnet Test:

  • Self-Test automatically checks device operation and reports to the panel.

  • Magnet Test enables local LED flash and/or horn sound for verification.

  • “Silent Magnet Test” available—only LED flashes for address confirmation.

• ADA-Compliant Synchronization: Audible and visible signals are synchronized to meet ADA requirements without additional modules.

• Centralized Reporting: Panel stores device address, label, and candela setting for maintenance and diagnostics.

• Rugged Construction: Flame-resistant housing, available in red or white, with optional “FIRE,” “ALERT,” or logo markings.

• Easy Installation: Fits standard US single-gang boxes, with optional European adapter plates.

• Certifications: UL 1971 (strobe), UL 464 (horn), ULC S525/S526, CSFM, FM Approved.
