The Simplex 4098-9734 High-Temperature Heat Sensor is part of the TrueAlarm series manufactured by Simplex/JCI. It is an analog addressable heat sensor designed for high-temperature detection in challenging environments, featuring a self-restoring design.

Key Features

• Fixed temperature detection with three selectable settings: 135 °F (57 °C), 155 °F (68 °C), and 190 °F (88 °C) – the 190 °F option is exclusive to model 4098-9734.

• Rate-of-Rise detection: Programmable from the control panel, with selectable thresholds of 15 °F/min (~8.3 °C/min) or 20 °F/min (~11.1 °C/min).

• Utility monitoring function: Can be configured to monitor temperature levels from 32 °F to 155 °F (0 °C to 68 °C), useful for freeze warnings or HVAC system fault detection.

• Self-restoring design with a small thermal mass for faster response to temperature changes; signal analysis is processed at the fire alarm control panel (FACP).

System Compatibility

• Compatible with multiple Simplex Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACPs): 4007ES, 4010, 4010ES, 4100ES, 4100U, 4008 (with limited functions), 4020, 4100, 4120, and 2120 with MAPNET II.

• On 4100ES, 4010ES, and 4007ES, the sensor communicates via the IDNet protocol.
