The Simplex 4098-9714 is a photoelectric smoke sensor from the TrueAlarm Analog Sensor line. It uses a stable pulsed infrared LED as the light source and a silicon photodiode receiver to detect smoke particles within the sensing chamber.

• Airflow Tolerance: Thanks to its photoelectric principle, the sensor is not significantly affected by air velocity, except where airflow impacts smoke movement into the sensing chamber.
