TrueAlert ES Addressable Visible-Only (Strobe) Appliances – Model 49VO Series

The 49VO Series is a visible-only strobe notification appliance (no audible output), ceiling-mounted, individually addressable, and directly powered/controlled via the Simplex IDNAC SLC (Signaling Line Circuit). The appliance receives power, supervision, and control commands all through the same two-wire SLC connection.

• Efficient 29 VDC Regulated Power
  Operates from a regulated 29 VDC supply, even during battery backup, reducing current draw and supporting longer wiring runs.

• T-Tap Support for Class B Circuits
  Allows T-tapping, reducing wiring and installation time. Class A requires in/out wiring.

• Self-Test and Magnet Test

  • Self-Test: Device checks strobe functionality and reports status back to the control panel.

  • Magnet Test: Device LED flashes to identify address; strobe may activate to confirm operation.

• LED Supervision & Device Reporting
  Status LED blinks during polling or when under test; the fire panel can view device ID, label, type, and candela setting.

• Certified & ADA Compliant
  Meets UL 1971, ULC S526, FM, and ADA accessibility requirements.

• Durable & Flexible Design
  Flame-retardant, impact-resistant plastic housing in red or white, with easily replaceable covers labeled “FIRE,” “ALERT,” “FEU,” bilingual, Simplex logo, or blank. Covers can be swapped without disturbing wiring.

• Easy Installation
  Mounts to standard 4-inch square electrical boxes or single-gang boxes with adapter. Terminals accept 18–12 AWG wiring.
