The 4090-9119 is a single-address module (IAM – Individual Addressable Module) for the Simplex fire alarm system, providing:

• Unsupervised input monitoring: used to monitor a Normally Open (NO) dry contact, such as a pressure switch or sail switch.

• Relay output (Form C, SPDT): to switch external devices (e.g., fans, dampers).

Both input and relay functions operate independently while sharing a single IDNet address, helping save system resources.

Power and communication are supplied directly from the IDNet channel, requiring no separate power source.

Key Features

• Dual-point operation

  • Provides both an input (monitoring contact state) and a relay output (control via Form C relay) in a single device while using only one fire alarm address.

  • The input point and relay point can be controlled independently and switched on/off separately as needed.

• Unsupervised Input

  • Input contact is Normally Open (NO), dry contact.

  • When closed → module reports “Alarm” or “Active” (depending on configuration).

  • When open → reports “Normal.”

  • No supervision resistors or extra conditions (like “Short” or “Current-limited”) as in supervised modules.

  • Maximum wiring distance: 500 ft (152 m) indoors.

• Relay Output

  • Form C (SPDT) relay with one Normally Closed (NC) and one Normally Open (NO) contact.

  • Relay powered directly from the IDNet channel — no external supply required.

  • Relay defaults to OFF when first powered up or if IDNet communication is lost.

• Communication & Addressing

  • Uses IDNet channel for both power and data.

  • Module address set via 8-position DIP switch under resealable cover.

• Construction & Installation

  • Durable thermoplastic housing with metal mounting plate.

  • Fits in a standard 4-inch square electrical box; adapter/trim plates available if needed.

  • Blinking LED indicates active IDNet communication.
