The 4090-9118 Relay IAM with T-Sense is a single-address module of the Simplex fire alarm system, combining:

• T-Sense Input (Supervised Input): monitors two different contact states (via series resistor and short circuit), allowing multiple condition distinctions (e.g., damper open/closed, waterflow/tamper).

• Relay Output: controls external devices (fan, damper, valve, etc.).

All functions work with just one IDNet address, powered directly from the communication channel, helping save addresses, reduce wiring, and integrate monitoring + control in the same module.

Key Features

• Dual-Point Operation

• One T-Sense input to monitor dry contact states via an end-of-line resistor.

• One relay output (Form-C, SPDT: one normally closed, one normally open contact) to control external devices.

Supervised Input – Multiple Status Distinctions

The T-Sense input can report the following conditions:

• Normal: all contacts open with continuity through the EOL resistor.

• Open (circuit break): no continuity to EOL resistor → Trouble.

• Short: contact closed directly across input circuit.

• Current Limited: contact closed with a series resistor → "current limited" state.

Relay & Power via Communication Channel

• The module receives power and data from the IDNet channel of the fire alarm control panel.

• No separate power supply required.

• The relay defaults to OFF when first powered up or when IDNet communication is lost.

Typical Applications

• Monitoring open/closed position of valves, doors, or dampers with feedback.

• Supervising waterflow, tamper, or other events requiring Trouble / Supervisory / Alarm reporting based on contact states.
