Vinfast officially signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Bosch - the world's largest auto parts group

On October 12, 2017, Vingroup Corporation (VIC) and Bosch in Vietnam - the world's leading technology and service provider, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the VINFAST electric car and motorbike manufacturing project.

According to the memorandum of understanding, the two sides will consider comprehensive cooperation in the field of automobile and electric motorbike manufacturing, including hardware, software and service solutions for VINFAST, a member company of Vingroup.

Regarding hardware, with the advantage of being the world's largest supplier of technology and automotive components - Bosch will provide VINFAST with spare parts and equipment, ensuring quality, precision and conformity with the production process. Regarding software, Bosch will support and advise VINFAST to deploy software for automobiles, motorbikes and business management software, such as design and user experience service solutions, customer development, etc.

In particular, Bosch and Vingroup will jointly research and apply the world's leading advanced technologies to VINFAST models, aiming to launch car lines with modern features, bringing outstanding experiences to users.

In addition, the memorandum of understanding also mentions smart campus solutions for the VINFAST Automobile Manufacturing Complex project, including: smart safety and security solutions; connected mobility; smart operations and energy management; consulting and implementation of connected industry.

In addition, Bosch will advise VINFAST on establishing a vocational training center. With experience investing more than one million USD in industrial technical vocational training, aiming to train highly skilled local workers - Bosch is a suitable partner for VINFAST's needs.

According to the plan, VINFAST will establish a mechatronics and industrial mechanical engineering training center according to German standards to gather a sufficient number of qualified human resources, operate modern production lines and gradually receive technology transfer from foreign partners.

Officially announcing the VinFast project on September 2, 2017, VINFAST has made rapid progress. Vingroup said that after 40 days, VINFAST has started construction on a manufacturing plant; recruited high-level international personnel; introduced a collection of 20 car models from 4 famous design studios and consecutively signed contracts with 2 of the world's leading source technology suppliers, Bosch and Siemens.
