On April 9, 2025, LEGO Group officially inaugurated the LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam Factory in VSIP III Industrial Park, Tan Uyen, Binh Duong. With a total investment of more than 1.3 billion USD, this is LEGO's largest project abroad, and is also the group's first factory to achieve the goal of Carbon Neutral globally.
LEGO Binh Duong Factory is built on an area of 44.8 hectares, including 5 main buildings with a total floor area of more than 150,000 m². The infrastructure is designed to expand capacity and develop long-term, aiming to serve the entire Asia-Pacific region.
The Coteccons - Unicons General Contractor Joint Venture is responsible for the construction of the entire project with a contract value of about VND 1,000 billion, ensuring international technical standards and progress. After the groundbreaking ceremony in November 2022, the project was completed and put into trial operation from the end of 2024, before officially inaugurating in early 2025.
The factory is designed with a production capacity of 30,000 tons of products per year in the first phase. The production lines use high-precision plastic injection and molding technology, achieving an error of only 1/10 of the thickness of a hair, demonstrating world-class production capacity, ensuring absolute consistency.
LEGO Binh Duong is considered one of the typical "Smart Factory" models in Vietnam, converging the following factors: automation, data connection, green energy operation and smart management according to global ESG standards.

LEGO Binh Duong is the group's first factory to achieve Carbon Neutral certification, and has also been granted LEED Platinum and Gold certifications for green buildings.
More than 12,400 solar panels have been installed on the factory roof, with a capacity of 7.34 MWp, providing most of the operating electricity needs. Along with that, LEGO has signed a Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA) with VSIP, combining an industrial battery storage system - a solution to maintain a stable renewable power source for high-tech production.
This is the first large-scale clean energy model for industrial production in Vietnam, helping to reduce about 15,000 tons of CO2 per year, making an important contribution to the country's net zero emissions target.
Not only a manufacturing plant project, LEGO Binh Duong is also a training and technology transfer center, where more than 100 international experts participate in guiding and developing the capacity of Vietnamese engineers. The Group implements community programs, bringing LEGO experiences to more than 60,000 Vietnamese children from now until 2025.
In addition to the main factory, LEGO is also building a Distribution Center in Dong Nai, expected to be operational by the end of 2025, affirming Vietnam's strategic role in the global supply chain.

The inauguration ceremony of LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam Factory in VSIP III Industrial Park (Binh Duong - Now Ho Chi Minh City) took place with the participation of former Politburo member, former President Nguyen Minh Triet; Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; leaders of central ministries and branches; leaders of Binh Duong province; representatives of diplomatic agencies and leaders of the LEGO Group.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized that LEGO is not only the world's leading toy brand, but also a symbol of creativity, innovation and sustainable development. He highly appreciated the philosophy of "learning through play" and LEGO's commitment to choosing an environmentally friendly production model, reducing carbon emissions and using renewable energy at the Binh Duong factory.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, with a total investment of more than 1 billion USD, the LEGO factory at VSIP III is the group's 6th global factory and one of the largest FDI projects in Vietnam today. The project is expected to create more than 4,000 jobs, opening up opportunities for the young workforce to access modern skills and participate more deeply in the global value chain.
He affirmed that the LEGO Factory will be a new driving force to promote Binh Duong's transition to high-tech, green and clean industry; at the same time, support Vietnam in implementing its commitment to net zero emissions by 2050. At the national level, the project contributes to diversifying the supply chain, enhancing Vietnam's position on the world production map.
