A Public Address (PA) System is an electronic system designed to capture, amplify, and distribute audio across multiple zones or areas within a building or large space.
Its main purposes include:
Broadcasting announcements or messages to the entire building or specific areas;
Delivering emergency alerts to ensure timely evacuation and safety;
Playing background music (BGM) or other audio signals for daily operation.
A standard PA system typically consists of:
Microphones – to capture speech or audio signals and convert them into electrical signals;
Audio Mixer – to combine and adjust multiple input signals before amplification (if needed);
Amplifiers – to boost low-level signals from microphones or mixers to drive loudspeakers effectively;
Loudspeakers – to convert amplified signals back into sound waves that are audible;
Zone Controller – to manage broadcasting by zones or to the entire building;
Auxiliary Components – such as signal processors, cabling, backup power supplies, and fault monitoring systems.

PROSPERO is an IP-based Public Address System developed by Bosch.
All PROSPERO components — call stations, interface modules, and IP speakers — connect directly via standard Ethernet, transmitting both audio and control signals through the network without requiring separate audio wiring.
The system supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) for multiple devices, simplifying power management.
PROSPERO allows flexible scalability for both centralized and distributed setups.
Key components include:
Call Station PRP-CST – with touch screen, PTT button, and emergency controls;
Interface Modules – such as PRP-IM1A (1 audio output) and PRP-IM2C1A (2x2 control + 1 audio output);
IP Speakers – like PRP-UC15L-IP (built-in amplifier) and passive extension speakers.
