Bosch supports License 2 Draw Laser Target Shooting

Bosch Security Systems, a global provider of security, safety, and communications products and solutions, will sponsor the surveillance camera system for the artwork “License 2 Draw Laser Target Shooting” as part of the exhibition “Borderless” in Hanoi from March 3 to 31, 2017. The event is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea, and is an opportunity for artists to express their multidimensional thoughts on what is happening in the two countries’ societies through contemporary art.

With the ambiguous theme of “boundary”, the event welcomes the participation of 8 visual artists who are active in Vietnam and Korea, together expressing their individual identities through different perspectives on the relationship between the two countries. Mr. Uu Dam Tran Nguyen, one of the artists representing Vietnam, will exhibit the artwork “License 2 Draw Laser Target Shooting”. The work allows viewers around the world to directly control lasers to create their own sculptures and works of art through advanced technologies.

As a pioneer in the field of technology, Bosch Security Systems will sponsor the most modern cameras for the work by artist UuDam Tran Nguyen, which was performed in the dark. The DINION IP starlight 8000 camera series has a resolution of 5MP and Bosch's latest starlight technology, which helps to record color images with excellent quality even in extremely low light conditions. In conditions where other cameras do not display images, DINION IP starlight 8000 still displays high-quality black and white video. At the same time, the Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA) function allows the camera to continuously monitor and transmit data live to the exhibition audience around the world.

In addition, Bosch also provides the FLEXIDOME IP Panoramic 7000 MP camera. The camera’s 12MP sensor operates at 30 frames per second (fps) to capture the entire work with excellent data quality. The IVA function supports intelligent tracking to capture every movement of the laser. Combined with the panoramic observation capability, the FLEXIDOME IP Panoramic 7000 MP camera is a great tool to enhance the visitor experience. At the same time, five FLEXIDOME Day/Night IR 5000 and bullet IR 5000 cameras were also installed, to ensure that even the smallest details in the exhibition will not be missed.

Inspired by the idea of mechanical warfare, artist UuDam Tran Nguyen hopes that technology will instead help erase the boundaries of contemporary art, connecting people more by allowing audiences to view online and interact directly with his work, with the support of Bosch’s DIVAR IP 3000 recorder. This device is a state-of-the-art tool that allows viewers to access video data in real time. Dynamic Transcoding technology automatically adjusts the data stream according to the viewer's network bandwidth to ensure the smoothest experience. Instant Detail Enhancement displays HD video image quality as soon as the user pauses.

The exhibition “Undefined Boundary” is jointly implemented by the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam and the Korean Art Management Service, organized by Heritage Space Center in Vietnam. The event aims to break down the invisible “boundaries” in the two countries’ societies through the multifaceted artistic perspectives of artists, thereby helping to strengthen the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea.
