Simplex 4-Wire Horn/Strobe

The Simplex 4-Wire Horn/Strobe is a non-addressable audio-visual (A/V) notification appliance that uses 4-wire operation, allowing independent control of horn and strobe functions:

NAC1 (Notification Appliance Circuit 1): controls the strobe
NAC2 (Notification Appliance Circuit 2): controls the horn

This device is MEA approved (NYC Department of Buildings, MEA35-93E), certified for use in New York City.

Key Features

Independent audio-visual control: Horn and strobe can operate separately, supporting “on-until-silenced” for horn and “on-until-reset” for strobe.
Selectable strobe modes: Device switch allows choosing Free-Run (independent flashing) or Synchronized operation with synchronization modules.
Durable, easy installation: Impact-resistant plastic housing, compatible with flush or surface mounting on standard single-gang, double-gang, or 4-inch square electrical boxes. Terminals are accessible for easy wiring.
ADA compliance: Synchronized flashing minimizes random flash effect, meeting ADA visual signaling requirements.
